Delete your DA8N account.
You can permanently delete your DA8N account and profile from inside the DA8N app on Android, iPhone or the web. This page explains how to do it, what happens to your information, and what to do if you can no longer sign in.
Delete your account in the app
Open DA8N, sign in, and go to Settings → Data & account → Delete my account.
DA8N asks for your current password to confirm it is really you, and asks you to confirm the decision before anything is deleted. Deletion then happens immediately. It cannot be undone, and signing in again is not possible — rejoining DA8N means registering a new account.
If you only want a break, you can pause your account instead. Pausing hides you from Discover and Ready while keeping your matches and conversations, and signing in reactivates it.
Sign in to DA8N to delete your account.
What deleting your account removes
Deleting your DA8N account:
- Removes your profile from DA8N and anonymises it, including your display name and bio
- Removes your photos and videos, which are then erased from our media storage
- Deletes your precise location history
- Ends your matches and discards your likes and passes
- Closes your private albums and revokes the access you had granted to them
- Deletes your conversations with the in-app assistant
- Signs you out everywhere and stops notifications to your devices
What we keep, and why
We will not tell you we delete more than we do. Some information stays after your account is deleted:
- Conversations other members hold. Messages you sent remain in the other person’s copy of your conversation. We cannot remove a message from someone else’s account.
- Safety records. Blocks, reports and moderation decisions are kept so we can protect other members and act on repeat behaviour.
- Account-security records. Sign-in and security events, including the record that your account was closed, are kept to detect fraud and abuse.
- Your D8N sign-in identity. Your sign-in details are shared across the wider D8N platform rather than belonging to DA8N alone, so deleting your DA8N account does not by itself erase them.
To ask us to erase your D8N sign-in identity or anything else we have kept, email support@da8n.com. We will assess the request and explain anything we are required to keep.
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account, email support@da8n.com from the email address registered on your DA8N account and tell us you want your account deleted.
For your protection, sending an email does not by itself delete an account. We check that the request comes from the account’s owner before we act on it, and we may ask you for more information first. We will never ask you for your password or a verification code.
